Company Statement on Product Recall

Santa Fe Springs, CA — October 18, 2025

M.C.I. Foods, Inc. has initiated a voluntary Class I recall of select ready-to-eat breakfast burrito and wrap products containing egg due to the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes. These products were produced between September 17 and October 14, 2025, and distributed to institutional and commercial customers.

The safety of our products and the wellbeing of our customers is the highest priority of M.C.I. Foods, Inc. We adhere to the highest possible food safety standards and conduct independent audits of our processes and facilities. USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) inspectors oversee operations in our facilities.

Our rigorous internal controls identified a positive sample for Listeria monocytogenes in a raw material. Out of an abundance of caution, we acted immediately to notify FSIS and the FDA and initiated a voluntary recall. To date, there have been no reported illnesses associated with the affected products.

We are committed to reviewing our operations and procedures to further ensure the safety of our products. Customers are advised to check their inventory and refer to the official recall documentation for specific lot codes. Only affected products should be placed on hold and not shipped.
